Pennsylvania PTA Family Engagement Committee (FEC)

Mission statement: The Pennsylvania PTA Family Engagement Committee is dedicated to providing resources, and implementing strategies to support local units in their efforts to effectively engage all families and increase their ability to positively impact student achievement.

The FEC is firmly committed to:

    1. Connecting local units to National PTA programs, initiatives, and awards
    2. Ensuring all units understand and are facilitating the PTA National Standards for Family-School Partnerships.
    3. Providing concrete examples of effective family engagement programs at school, at home and in the community.
    4. Working with local units to make sure they have the knowledge and capacity to establish programs that engage, equip, and empower parents to be equal partners with the school and strong advocates for their child and all children.

Because family engagement takes place wherever there is a child and a parent or guardian, we will highlight effective programs that take place at home, at school and in the community.
